Hi I'm Kelly.
Before getting started on you i thought you may like to know a little bit about me! My studies have been in Sports, Dance, Business, Human Biology and now Nutrition. My work has seen me as a professional model through to event manager on the London 2012 Olympic Games.
So, there are many drivers in my life that have propelled me to head down this path...not least being my own health. In 2008 in my late twenties I was diagnosed with a liver condition called Gilberts Syndrome (GS). I had been suffering from tiredness and sluggishness since I can remember but it hit an all-time high, so I decided to get some blood tests done. GS is basically a reduced liver function and so it takes longer to process and detoxify anything that enters my system. (I had been wondering why I used to get 3 day hangovers at university). The doctors basically told me to go away and 'Google' it!
So I did...and found that there are only a limited number of resources and there were no 'drugs' I could take to help me. Having read the forums telling me I needed more sleep, to do fasts and have no alcohol/sugar/over processed foods I struggled to understand how I would be able to help myself yet be able to socialize and have a healthy mind to go with the body. I had always been interested in nutrition since studying sports nutrition in my degree so, when the time came to retrain in something I love whilst being able to help myself in the process, I jumped at the chance.
I had my beautiful baby girl at the end of my contract with the Olympics and 10 months later had enrolled and started on my nutritional journey of learning. 5 Years later and I find myself as a registered nutritional therapist and doing my dream job of helping people achieve their full potential as well as throwing baby number 2 into the mix. So if you would like to know more then please get in touch...I have clinics based in Kings Langley in Hertfordshire and in Holborn, London, however i do also do home visits by special request.
